If you've missed any part of the documentary about activism in Portland, watch on your own.  The class watched from 50:00- 1:20.  If you are interested in Vanport, early Portland housing/Albina or the Black Panthers in Portland, you may want to watch the first part of the film as well.

Homework is to work on your Virtual Museum.
Final Due date has been adjusted 5/29.
Class has computer lab time on 5/27 to make final adjustments.

1) Spend 10 minutes looking at examples from a past exhibit:  LHS IB20 WWII Exhibit Site
2) Set up your site: email link to Ms. Gale.  Follow format on the Virtual Museum Assignment/Rubric.
3) Complete background Research Reading

Homework: 
1) Make sure your MLA Citations are correctly formatted.  Cross check with Owl at Purdue.
2) Begin and post the Works Cited page for your exhibit with the 3 articles you read today.
2) Write Work in Progress on your opening page.  Give your exhibit a title and brief explanation of intended focus.

Remember: 

  • Your 3 body paragraphs will focus on 1) economic, 2) political and 3) social issues
  • You need a minimum of 3 additional sources to the Takaki readings.
  • Digital Notes are due Monday, 3/9 along with a Works Cited Page
    • For your Works Cited page simply copy and paste your MLA citations in alphabetical order onto a single page and format it exactly as seen in the example above
